Lick no.2 Just feels like a sin writing Iron Maiden in Pink, Oh well 🤷♂️ ’CopyCat Fridays’ series is where I pick a popular song and show you how it’s played. 👅 Today’s pick is Hallowed be thy name by Iron Maiden. I spent my high school years trying to perfect every Iron Maiden song I could lay my ears on. This one was one of those riffs that introduced me to finger picking. The opening E note on the lower E string (6th string) is played by the bass guitar in the original song. It definitely gives a good touch if you include it while you’re playing this on your own. For those of you who aren’t familiar with guitar tabs, the bottom line is the Bass/Low E string (6th string) and the top line is the treble/ high E string (1st string).
