Next Flight Home | IFMC Winter 2021 | Film by Jake Wegesin | Music by Gianco Ante
My entry to the Indie Film Music Contest Winter 2021. A film by Jake Wegesin Music by Gianco Ante The music for the following film was created for the Indie Film Music Contest and is not part of the original film. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ For this whimsical and quirky romance, I decided to create a score inspired by Mark Mothersbaugh’s The Sims 2 music, Mort Garson’s Plantasia, Michael Giacchino’s Up score, and Perrey and Kingsley's The In Sound From Way Out! I used synths, celeste, and harpsichord for that playful sound supported by piano, strings, and some synth pads. The Love Theme is in 6/8 and serves as a sort of sweeping romantic waltz for birds. Software and libraries used: Ableton Live Albion One TAL-U-NO-LX-V2 Olafur Arnalds Composer Toolkit BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover VS Harpsichord Spitfire LABS #indiefilmmusiccontest #IFMC2021 #jakewegesin
