Breakfast at The [Virtual] Bass: Sylvie Fleury
On Thursday, May 21, The Bass held its digital talk series Breakfast at The [Virtual] Bass on Facebook Live with Executive Director & Chief Curator Silvia Karman Cubiñá in conversation with artist Sylvie Fleury. During the museum’s closure in 2015, Sylvie Fleury produced a site-specific commission for the museum’s facade – the iconic ‘Eternity Now’ neon that still sits atop the historic structure. In 2016, the work was officially added to the collection. Breakfast at The [Virtual] Bass is a digital mini-series featuring Executive Director & Chief Curator Silvia Karman Cubiñá in conversation with three, path-breaking women artists who are part of The Bass’ collection, each Thursday at 11 a.m. (EST) throughout the month of May.
