How about 843hp from the new AMG GT 63 S E Performance!? Let's take a full look and first drive both on road and track in Spain, to see what it's all about. The 'regular' GT 4-door 63 S was never lacking in power, but things have just got even more clever... After the SLS AMG and AMG GT, the team from Affalterbach launched the GT 4-door a few years ago with the 63 S sitting as a flag ship, offering 639hp from the 4.0l Biturbo V8. Now though, we're in the era of E Performance, offering lots of power and very clever hybrid technology, bringin power to a gigantic 843hp with 900Nm plus an additional 300Nm peak from the electrical system. Taking electronics, there's a 6.1kWh battery which offers 12km (8 miles) of full electric driving through a totally unique system. With the engine up front, and both the batter and electric motors behind, the P3 system with 4matic is set up to optimise performance and weight distribution. While out driving the car on both the road and the track, let's get a full feel for what this is like, whether it can hide the extra weight, how it responds and of course what it's like for the driver.
