Visiting the Imprisoned - The Forgotten Work of Mercy

For over twenty years now Dismas Ministry has been actively engaged in the Forgotten Work of Mercy - Visiting the Imprisoned! Each week we receive letters like these from incarcerated men and women around the country. They request bibles, rosaries, study guides, and help in living their Catholic faith in often brutal circumstances. As a national Catholic outreach our mission is to renew and strengthen the spiritual lives of the imprisoned by providing them faith, scripture, and prayer resources. Our materials bring hope and remind prisoners that the church has not abandoned them. We also provide free materials to chaplain's and prison ministers who serve these men and women behind bars.
