Action at Downingtown Part 9-ACS64#603
Well this is action at Downingtown part 9 and its got some really exciting catches on this day. If you saw the video called ACS64#603 at Downingtown then you only got a small glimpse of the action on 10/20/13. I got word from necer149 that P42 #42 would be on train 43 and I thank him for telling me that because I would have missed all the great action on this day. I got to Downingtown in plenty of time to film train 43. Well Pennsylvanian 43 showed up with P32 #514 instead of P42 #42 but that's ok. P42 #42 is a hard unit to track on this train but P32 #514 looks mighty sharp in the sunlight. Not long after train 43 is gone then 42 shows up. Heritage unit 822 is on the point and I get great K5LA horn action as the trains speeds by. Next the westbound Keystone with AEM7AC #923 shows up and I get more K5LA horn action. As the train departs I filmed cab car 9640. Not long after 923 is gone then a surprise shows up. Amtrak ACS64 #603 being towed by P42 #63 rounds the curve. I get great horn action again as this Amtrak extra speeds by. I filmed this train Thursday night sitting at 30th street. The consist is P42 #63, ACS64 #603, a baggage car, Amfleet one café, a Horizon coach, a heritage diner and a Viewliner bringing up the rear. This is the first video of an ACS64 running on the Harrisburg line and it sure was worth it. Right behind that train was another Keystone but with AEM7DC #953. I filmed cab car 9650 the other cab car with the black number broad background as it left Downingtown. I then film the eastbound Keystone with cab car 9639 as its stops at Downingtown. As the train leaves I film AEM7AC #939 pushing at the rear. Finally to close out the video I filmed my last Keystone of the day in the evening sun. AEM7DC #949 as it stops. As the train departs I filmed cab car 9638 heading westward with the evening sun reflecting off the train and the tracks to end a great day of rail fanning.
