Gigabyte HD7870 OC Unboxing
READ!!! First off, I'm terribly sorry about how the video glitches sometimes (when text fades in), I tried re-rendering the video to get rid of the stupid problem (and tried to figure out what was the problem, with no success), but it kept happening. It has never acted glitchy before when I added text, but now all of a sudden it glitches (Keep in mind, when I had the GTX275 it never did this, now when I added the 7870, this glitch happens... drivers? Probably). Anyway, so this is my new video card that I bought for my gaming rig. I bought it used from somebody, but the price he was offering was such a steal, that I decided to go for it. It still has warranty, so that's good news. I know some of you will probably tell me that it was a bad idea to buy the card in the first place, just because it's used, but like I said, the price he was offering was a steal, and it still has warranty, so that's what mattered the most to me (along with if it worked properly, which it does, I've been playing games on it, like Battlefield BC2 (which is an intensive GPU game) ). Overall, I'm happy that I bought this card :) It kills my GTX 275, which is what I expected. I will be doing a review on this card once I've had time to play with it and all that good stuff. I don't think I'll be doing a comparison of performance between my 3 year old GTX 275 and the 7870, because lets face it, we all know the 7870 wins, and like I said, kills the 275. I may do some overclocking, but I'm having trouble doing so (Driver crashing and black screens), so I'm not sure. So stay tuned for the review! P.S. Yes, I know this card had a couple of bent fins on the heat sink, but I don't mind, because there isn't any temperature problems.
