State of Decay 2 | Daybreak (ep3)
Good Evening viewers, tonight we have some DLC action for State of Decay 2. We check out Heartland and Daybreak to see what they include and then jump back to the campaign to see what the Prestige Trader sells. We have a (very) brief look at the Heartland DLC as the game crashes on the first load and the second one, the host bails... What we did see looks promising though as it appeared to be a full co-op campaign! If that is what indeed what it is then it fills the biggest criticism that I had with the first game in not being able to bring a friend along for the ride. I just need to find a friend now... The Daybreak DLC had more legs though and we were able to give it a good run. Sure the host disconnected at the point of the match failing but that could have been more rage-quit then a problem with the game or networking. The third match lasts the longest at 5 rounds and was a good bit of fun. The unlocks rewarded for the Daybreak DLC also carry over to the main campaign via the 'Prestige Trader' which you can call in at any time with a 90 minute cool down. Any item you have unlocked via the Daybreak reward system looks to be available via this trader. The Red Talon weapon unlocks have bonuses like bigger magazines, faster fire rates etc... nothing over the top but a nice bonus to make it worthwhile attaining without punishing the player if they don't have the DLC unlocks. This episode marks the last episode for the free weekend but not the last episode for the channel.. I liked it so much that I bought the game and have been busy playing it (most) nights. I will record an episode here and there but it won't be a playthrough series, more like a "here's a bunch of enjoyable clips strung together which I think you may like" kind of deal.
