Satisfactory (Update 7) Game Porting Toolkit test on Macbook Pro (M2 Pro)
Trying out running Satisfactory (Steam version) on an M2 Macbook Pro using the Apple Game Porting Toolkit. This is the current stable build of Satisfactory, update 7, meaning it’s UE4 under the hood. Graphic settings on ultra, mostly smooth with occasional slow down when loading new assets for the first time. The issue with weird vehicle physics while driving over placed foundations seems to be even worse than before but otherwise it’s ridiculously smooth and playable. Captured using built in screen recording so no sound, but sounds and music were all playing happily without worry. Hell of an upgrade from Bootcamp on my old 2014 MBP. :D If you, like me, want to lose hundreds of hours of your life moving things around on conveyor belts, then check out @.
