Attempting to ride like Graham Jarvis (and failing miserably) 😂︱Cross Training Enduro

http://www.crosstrainingenduro.com http://tractionerag.com Warning, this video contains scenes of explicit fisting that some viewers may find disturbing. The futile quest to wheelie like Graham Jarvis continues. Ben is getting pretty good with covering the rear brake though and dragging one leg, so I suspect he may master it one day. Me? The moment I hit that balance point I automatically jam the rear brake on. This is great for preventing backflips, but unfortunately you need large gonads to go past that balance point and that's what Jarvis-style wheelies demand. The increase of extreme enduro, endurocross and hard enduro events leads to cross training enduro - trials skills adapted to dirt riding on enduro bikes. It's early days, but already our little training setup has plenty of fun stuff to mess around on. And of course we expect big things from Ben now he has done his first hard enduro event. Me? I badly need to brush up on some old techniques. Just look at these half arsed rear wheel hops. Almost all of the best extreme riders are former trials champions. Balance in your dirt bike riding also means you can spend more time standing on the pegs in tough terrain instead of sitting down, so you will have far more control. If you don't use it you lose it. We will probably bring lots of logs into this area, but in the meantime this one is good for static balance practice. As usual it becomes a competitive thing so I have to try and outdo Ben. Just subscribe to this dirt bike channel for extreme enduro training tips videos including techniques from Ruben Chadwick, Graham Jarvis, and Tim Coleman on wheelies, pivot turns, clutch control, traction and other critical skills for learning how to ride a dirt bike videos for beginners or enduro racers. We also have enduro fail vids. But then my nicer side emerges and I decide to help him instead. It's great to have lots of stuff to practice on in the one area. In the state forests we often have to ride long distances to find good obstacles, here we can just build what we want. Weighting and deweighting is great for wet logs like this, less weight means less slipping and getting thrown off line. After the recent vertical faces vid we are all keen on some practice with this big log embedded in the bank. Anyone noticed my new gloves? But we'll be making much larger nastier ones soon. Until we build a vertical wall, this random rock is handy although there's a long way to fall if the shit hits the fan. Andrew really nails this one, let's see it again in gumby quality slow motion. With the dodgy knee I pass on this stump jump too. The approach is slippery, the stump even more so, and if you don't keep the front wheel high it's easy to go over the bars... allow Andrew to demonstrate. Peacocks... and some of them are riding dirt bikes. We started with wheelies so we'll end with some too. There will also be a training vid from our Canadian Traction eRag brother in arms BeRad, about tips for mastering 12 oclock wheelies. Woohoo. Are you a beginner dirt rider? Interested in hard enduro riding, endurocross training or wheelies? A key is the use of body positioning and 'weighting' - choose when to exert pressure on the pegs and when to 'de-weight' or lift the bike up. Most trials techniques involve exact use of the clutch e.g. feathering the clutch for traction control up hills... dropping the clutch to launch the bike into the air as Jonny Walker and Graham Jarvis can do on extreme enduro racing bikes and trials bikes. The cross training enduro vids on our dirt bike channel apply the same skills to enduro bikes - you'll be amazed at the difference it makes in terms of traction and advanced techniques such as jumping up vertical rock faces ... and wheelies! Everything in tough gnarly terrain is trying to throw you off balance, so balancing lays a foundation for enduro skills for guys like Jonny Walker and Ruben Chadwick. Trials riders can balance at a stand still for as long as they like - good for hard enduro riding! Cross training enduro has a strong focus on being able to balance on your dirt bike, even at a stand still - this is a handy skill when you have minimal run up to your next obstacle and learning how to ride a dirt bike.
