[2016] Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro (15.6") False 4K PenTile Display

The Samsung ATIV Book 9 (15.6") uses the RG/BW PenTile matrix to claim the 4K UHD 3840x2160 spec, without providing the full detail of the resolution. (pardon my poor camerawork) RG/BW PenTile replaces the RGB in each pixel with either only RG or only BW. The hardware and software still renders a full RGB picture, but the display can't show all of the detail. This is commonly regarded to be a deceptive marketing practice. The chroma test performed in this video demostrates this issue. Lines appear dotted, text appears fuzzy, and solid primary colors appear latticed, because no purported pixel denoted by the advertised resolution contains all the components necessary to independently produce the full spectrum of the display. To test your own display, use this image http://i.rtings.com/images/Chroma-444.png and display it with no zooming or scaling. MS Paint works nicely for this task, if you are using Windows. If you would like a 4K UHD 3840x2160 display, the Dell XPS 15 4K, Lenovo Y700/Y720 4K, Lenovo Yoga 710 4K, Acer Nitro 4K, Lenovo Thinkpad P50 4K, Dell Precision 4K, and HP ZBook 15 4K are some of the ones that do it right.
