Algo 8180 Paging Speaker and Audio Alerter Product Review
The Algo 8180 Paging Speaker and Audio Alerter is a VoIP paging appliance thats incredibly easy to install and well priced. Simply mount it on a wall with two screws and attach a PoE network cable. The speaker includes a "Talk Back" feature which allows two way intercom communication over the device. This makes it easy for a larger shop or warehouse where you need to contact people in a large area. Algo has included terminals to drive an external outside speaker. The device is not weather proof and so if paging or ringer is required outdoors, an weatherproof outdoor speaker can be added. As this is a SIP compliant device, it works very well with SIP based phone systems like 3CX Phone System. Though 3CX doesn't officially support this device, HELIA provides provisioning templates for this device on the http://www.HeliaTools.com website. The Algo 8180 will also work with any other SIP compliant phone system like Panasonic or Avaya though additional SIP licenses may be required from the PBX manufacturer.
