Fact checking Extinction Rebellion (Rupert Read, Roger Hallam)

Extinction Rebellion is the radical environmental movement that calls on governments to Tell The Truth. Do they practice what they preach? To answer that question, we dissect a presentation by the group's spokesperson Rupert Read, supplemented by some additional comments by Roger Hallam and Gail Bradbrook. In particular, we focus on their central claim in a lot of their recruitment processes that many of the children in the upcoming generation will not grow to old age because of climate change. Is this an example of telling harsh truths to shock people into action? Or is it a misrepresentation of the science with the aim of radicalising young people to accept an extreme proposition? The Mallen Baker Show is aimed at all people who see themselves as change makers, with commentary on issues and change movements with a particular focus on climate change and environment, social issues, free speech and corporate social responsibility.
