Lost In December by Topper Fralick
Another improvisation! I was messing around with my Akai Miniak and came up with the 4 note sequence that creates the heartbeat of the piece. I added some sound effects from a Korg Kaossilator and Kaoss Pad. The melodies and pad sounds are from an Alesis QS6.2, a Kurzweil SP76 and a Kawai phm synth module. Since this was a spur of the moment improvisation in my basement, I didn't take time to set up the 16 track Roland or plug into Pro Tools. Instead I just recorded the performance quickly onto my old Fostex 4 track. There was a lot of hiss and line noise in the recording. I tried to edit as much noise out as possible when I mixed the final WAV for the video. The snowflake pictures were free downloads from an internet website. I hope you will enjoy this spontaneous music... Peace
