Quickest way to tie two fishing lines together. Surgeon knot!

The Surgeon knot is a great choice for saltwater anglers to connect their main line to their leader. This can be used to connect braided lines to mono lines or mono to mono connections.  The best for braided to mono is to use at least six turns and mono to mono three turns. Note: There are two downsides to the surgeons knot.  The first if you leader is 16 inches or more, when making the turns you have to pull the long lead through each time.  The second is that it is tied before the hook or lure is tied at the other end.
