Uniden Uniace 300 CB27/81 UK FM CB radio base station - service alignment & repair.
In order to look at some hacked about wiring in an Audioline 345 in for extensive repair, I knew this set had arrived & was in the repair queue about 6 jobs ahead. By doing this set first I was able to take photos to finish the Audioline. This Uniden came in with no TX audio. Upon checking, there was no voice coming through PA either. It turned out to be a couple of electrolytic capacitors in the speech processor circuit that had failed. The usual dodgy four capacitors also were changed as was one in the IF. The three capacitors in the power supply was replaced & the set came up to a full 4W output. Recorded 28th August 2022 Richard, G0OJF Lincolnshire, UK
