Dodge Grand Caravan - SHIFTER STUCK IN "P" PARK MODE? (2011 - 2020)
Is gear shift stuck in Parking Mode on your Dodge Grand Caravan minivan? This vans are equipped with shift lock release button which means that you can manually release the shifter by pressing on the shift lock override button. ( 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | 2011 | 2012 | 2013 | 2014 | 2015 | 2016 | 2017 | 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | SE | CVP | AMP | SXT | LIMITED | CREW | VALUE PACKAGE | EXPRESS ). Sometimes this shifting mechanism will get stuck and it will not recognize that you are actually holding the brake pedal while attempting to shift gears. In that case by pressing BTSI button (Brake transmission Shift Interlock) you can manually unlock it. So just remove the cover and press the BTSI while trying to shift gears. Make sure you are parked on flat surface and parking brake in engaged. Thanks for watching.
