HOW TO COLOUR SNOW - Polychromos, CASTLE ART, Koh-i-Noor, Luminance and Prismacolor - #tutorial
Welcome to another video in my new series: How to Colour. In this series I´ll show you how you can colour different items with different colouring pencil brands. In this particular video I´ll show you how to colour snow with 5 different brands of colouring pencils. Most videos primarily concentrate on 1 brand, but I know that a lot of you don´t necessarily use Polychromos or Prismacolors, so I´ve incorporated Castle Art, which I know a lot of people use and also Koh-i-Noor (an oil-based pencil) and Caran d´Ache Luminance. I colour in "Stjärnfall" - the new colouring book by Swedish illustrator Maria Trolle. It´ll be released on July 16th in the US and the English title will be "Shooting Star". I also colour in "Winter Song" by American illustrator Ellie Marks. My advice is: Never use grey colours. They make the snow dull and filthy to look at. Use a darker blue colour to shadow areas, then either a pale green or a greyish green on top of the darker blue, add a pink colour to add depth to the shadow areas, a light blue colour and a white to blend on top of the the other colours. To light areas: A cream or a light yellow colour and white. Instead of the green and pink you can use lilac or purple colours to the shadow areas on top of the dark blue. Please like and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more videos in this series. Enjoy! Oh - and you are more than welcome to follow me on my Facebook page CatColouring. Here I post other colourings and paintings that never reach Youtube. You can also drop a comment if there are other things you would like to see coloured in this series.
