Heretic mod preview: Tales of the Dragonborn: Ruby Wand Demo
And welcome back to another Tales of the Dragonborn progress video! In this video we are taking a look at one of the weapons (This one will be replacing the Elven Wand you normally start off with in Heretic). Most of you will recognize its function and sprites from Daedolon the mage's Sapphire Wand. And it is indeed from there it was based, however unlike the Sapphire Wand, this weapon will eventually get its obvious Tome of Power mode. When I do these however, I do not know, currently I wanna work on the basic functions first and THEN work on the special things such as alternate fire modes from the Tome of Power. Not much to say really, it is what it is, sounds a bit more violent, looks red. That's about it. Main reason why I kept the +RIPPER flag still on the Ruby Wand was once again to make sure this mod fulfills its purpose. Which is to make slaughter-maps for Heretic way more bearable, hence a ripper frame seems fairly logical to implement for most weapons. But I won't bore you with any more pesky details, so have a good one everyone!
