How to Disable ("Mask") CPU cores on NetApp HCI Compute Nodes
How to disable some cores on NetApp HCI Compute Nodes. In this video we use H615C with dual 6240Y processors. The interesting part about this CPU with Intel Speed Step (R) technology is that should you want just 2 cores per CPU, it'd make sense to select Config 2 in Speed Step options (this would lower the number of cores and set them to run at a higher speed), and then when you disable some cores they'd be comparatively faster than with Base or Config 1 configuration. Hyperthreading was left ON, and Turbo too. These can be on or off, it's up to you.
