Yamama - a tribute to Beirut
This art woven creation by Nadine Marchal is woven with writings on paper, handwritten by Yara Lapidus, silk, blown glass and guitar strings offered by D'ADDARIO… Once upon a time ... A lovely story ... Instagram made me meet a beautiful artist, Yara Lapidus. Her song Yamama is written in a book whose preface is written by Sarah Briand. Another beautiful encounter. This is how links are forged, emotions cross and naturally, a weaving is born. A very beautiful french book initiated and prefaced by the journalist, Sarah Briand, "Pour l'amour de Beyrouth", Fayard editions. This book is a journey to the heart of the emotions linked to this city in Lebanon, where many artists have come together "... So that Beirut, like a phoenix, is once again reborn from its ashes." This work will be sold to an association for the benefit of the reconstruction of Beirut, just as the book already is. A place as magical as the Volerie du Forez to shoot these images was a very nice gift. Thank you to the birds, to Stéphane and all his team for their generosity and their incredible work to save et reintroduce birds in their natural environments when it is possible!
