Drawing classic racing car with graphite pencils (Jaguar D Type) - Timelapse
In this video I am drawing a Jaguar D Type with graphite pencils. After drawing the basic outline, I filled in the background using graphite powder. However, first I decided to mask out the outline of the car because I wanted to achieve a dark background (using 80-grit sandpaper to grind down the lead of a Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black 8B pencil). I applied masking fluid using a brush to mask out the outline of the car. Once the masking fluid dried, I applied the graphite powder with a makeup sponge. Upon achieving a dark background, I removed the masking with the help of an eraser pen. I have uploaded a video dedicated to achieving dark backgrounds here (https://youtu.be/ZFVAiEnjlXU). In the near future I will post a video on how to use masking fluid and also a video about drawing the tires, so please make sure to subscribe if you have not already done so, so you do not miss out. I have listed the materials I used below. ------------------------ Materials Used: **As an Amazon Associate, "Busy Pencil - Realistic Pencil Art" earns from qualifying purchases** ------------------------------------ Paper: Muse Kent paper (Japan), Size B4: https://amzn.to/3QGtscC Masking fluid: Holbein masking fluid (Japan, currently not available on Amazon, see link for an alternative): https://amzn.to/3QGtscC Graphite powder: Staedtler Mars Lumograph black 8B (https://amzn.to/3A4nECo), ground down with 80-grit sandpaper Pencils: Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black 8B (https://amzn.to/3A4nECo), Faber Castell 9000 8B (https://amzn.to/3T7IaL6), Mitsubishi Hi-Uni 4B, 3B, 2B, HB, 2H, 5H, etc, (https://amzn.to/3T4cFl8) Other: TowBow Mono eraser pen (https://amzn.to/3SZnIw9), blending stump (https://amzn.to/3R3Q2M5) ------------------------------------ CREDITS: REFERENCE PHOTO Photographer: TIM SCOTT Website: https://www.fluidimages.co.uk/Automotive/Studio-Shoots Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timscott/ ------------------------------------
