For the first time in history, the sacred Kiva ceremony was carried out as part of the Kumbha Mela, the only millennial gathering that unites millions of people around sacred rivers at the Triveni Sangam, the site that unites the sacred Ganges, Sarasvati and Yamuna rivers. As an offering to the United Nations of the Spirit, over thirty five First Nation elders from Abya Yala (America) and Europe traveled to India for the first time to carry out the Kiva, a circle in the Earth that represents the Temple of the Heart of Mother Earth, and the traditional ceremonial site for numerous traditional cultures around the American continent.
