Get your life together with the Nifty Organization Journal: bit.ly/2AYkXm2 Here is what you'll need! 5 Ways To Teach Your Kids To Take Care Of Themselves MATERIALS Cardboard Marker Craft knife Yarn Construction paper Scissors Hot glue Hot glue gun Marshmallows Tissue paper Paper plates Pipe cleaners Clip board Clothespin Popsicle sticks Paint Paint brush Lunch pail Markers Alphabetic magnets INSTRUCTIONS Shoe tying box Draw shoe shape on cardboard box. Cut out holes where shoelaces go through. Tie two different color pieces of yarn together and lace up the board. Draw instructions at the top. Lion flossing practice Cut out lion shapes from construction paper. Glue pieces of paper together to from the lion and hot glue marshmallows into the mouth. Place tissue paper between the marshmallows. Practice flossing with string between the marshmallows. Time Telling Helper Write out the hours on a clock on the paper plate. Cut a slit in between the numbers. Cut out the hour and minute arrows of a clock from construction paper. With one arrow being shorter than another. Place the plate with numbers on a new paper plate. Place the paper arrows on top in the center. Poke a hole through the center of it all. Insert a pipe cleaner through the hole and coil it up. Lift each flap on the top paper plate and write the minutes underneath. Write “Hours” and “Minutes” on each corresponding arrow. Chore list Write out the daily and weekly sections with a to do side and a done side. Write out each chore on a clothespin and clip it on the to do side. When a chore is completed, clip it to the other side. Spelling activity kit Paint popsicle sticks to desired colors and let it dry completely. Write words onto stick. Put sticks in a plastic bag to keep it separated from the alphabets. Let kids play and spell anywhere and on the go!
