Planting Elderberries in Containers: Contain size in small spaces

Planting Elderberries in Containers: Contain size in small spaces. If I can do this - you can do this! I love using galvanized steel stock tanks for raised garden beds. They can hold a lot, are semi-permanent and are cheaper than raised garden bed kits. I go step-by-step through my process and while this video is of elderberries, this is what I do for every stock tank I've used. The video starts with me prepping the area where the tank will go and drilling drainage holes. Caution - you will need a drill bit that is specifically for drilling through metal - available at any hardware store. I then show you how I use existing yard waste to begin filling my container followed by top soil and potting soil. Please note that when purchasing elderberry plants, you'll need both a male and female plant from your nursery to ensure berry production. Most nurseries will sell them next to each other, so just make sure you grab one of each. Elderberries are great for your immune system and I look forward to learning more about how to use the berries when they ripen to make syrups and medicine. Enjoy and thanks for watching!
