Unboxing my Samsung WB850F wifi smart camera
Unboxing my Samsung WB850F wifi smart camera. Box was wet when delivered by royal mail. Amazon gave me a goodwill discount for that of about £26. I got it in the prechristmas half price amazon sale for about £175 plus have applied for the samsung smart camera £50 cash back. So effectively got this smart wifi camera for £99. It has got wifi, wifi direct, and android / iOS apps like remoteview and mobilelink that work well and a newer combined app (which doesnt work presently), DLNA for TV viewing which works ok for photos but not videos, autoback up via wifi to computer, cloud upload to skydrive, etc 21x optical zoom 4x digital zoom, image stabilisation, can shoot full HD videos and simultaeneously capture 10megpixel photos, or can take 16megapixel photos, can take 64gb sd card in fat32 format after reformatting 64gb exfat sd card in camera to fat32. zoom is good and image stabilisation is good. day light performance is good. low light performance isnt great but ok and grainy. Has most of the usual features of smart cameras and digital cameras except raw support. The camera is small and am happy with the purchase. I bought this instead of the samsung galaxy camera as the lens and sensor are the same and it has wifi and android apps. Screen is amoled unlike the samsung galaxy camera and is great even outdoors but it is not touch screen. Since I got it for £99 and was nearly 280£ cheaper than the samsung galaxy camera but most of the features like wifi and android apps but without touch screen I opted for this especially as in france samsung are selling the samsung galaxy camera for 280£ unlike in the UK where it is 100£ costlier at about £380. The remoteview and mobile link android apps work fine with my android phones and tablets via wifi for both photos and videos and zooming and copying etc and TV link via DLNA is ok for photos but not for videos. You can see more about the various features of this smart camera in my playlist http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGQqgL4AHFjJgiSGTCpVlix4cE7pga04T watch my other uploads http://www.youtube.com/user/veryannoyingname/videos?flow=grid&view=0 watch my play lists http://www.youtube.com/user/veryannoyingname/videos?flow=grid&view=1
