Party Doll BUDDY KNOX
An all-time classic from 1957. It made #2 in the US charts and #29 here in Britain. It was Roy Orbison who first heard him sing and recognised his talent. Roy suggested that he go to see producer Norman Petty, the man responsible for many of Buddy Holly's hits. And so it was that in the same studio where Buddy Holly recorded "That'll Be the Day" another "Buddy" - Buddy Knox - recorded "Party Doll".
