How to Fix AC Controler on Porsche 997 987 Carrera Boxster Before Damage Temp and Fan Switch
Here is a common problem on a Most Porsche Vehicles made from 2005-2011. The AC Controller Contacts wear down and the plastic on the bottom shows through. So During the summer time they get gummy and the Black Polymer coating will rub off on fingers and and clothing. this happens because the Heat generated in the car during the summer actually changes the chemical compound and turns soft coating which wears over time. The coating holds up real good in cold winter climates but not is nice sunny places like Southern California. So here is a video of the Before which is how a lot of the cars in our shop come in and we are able to resurface the controller rocker Temp and Fan Switch, This is great for a Local customer but a little difficult for the rest of our client through out the US. We now offer an Exchange Program for these controllers For 595.00 (including 350.00 core fee) shipped we can send you out a pre repaired controller with the new temp and fan switch pre installed and a return shipping label. When we receive the return of the core, welll issue a 350.00 creidt as long as the controller is reciever with in 30 days. this means no down time.
