Paramount CHP shots fired
PARAMOUNT: On 10-05-21 at approximately 6:50am, CHP received a call for a disabled vehicle on the WB 105 freeway transition road to the NB 710 freeway. CHP officers arrived to assist when they were notified the vehicle was reported stolen and the driver was a possible suspect wanted in a triple shooting that left his father dead. CHP officers requested assistance at which time more CHP officers and LASD deputies arrived to assist. The suspect was armed with a firearm and raised the firearm at officers at which time an officer involved shooting occurred. During the shootout, one CHP officer was injured by shrapnel and was treated at the scene. The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation continues.
