The First Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Memorial Lecture

Governor N.N. Vohra chaired “The First Mufti Memorial Lecture” in a function organized to commemorate Mufti Sayeed Day at Gen Zorawar Singh Auditorium, today. Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister J&K, Nitish Kumar, Chief Minister Bihar, Sh. Sushil Kumar Modi, Deputy Chief Minister Bihar, Dr. Nirmal K Singh, Deputy Chief Minister J&K, Lord Meghnad Desai, were present on the occasion. “The First Mufti Memorial Lecture” was delivered by Lord Meghnad Desai on “Devolving Power: The British Experience”. Paying tributes to Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on his 2nd Death Anniversary, Governor recalled his long association with the former since. Mufti took over as Union Home Minister. He described him as a man who was entirely devoted to advancing the welfare of his people and development of the State.
