It's been almost ten years since part 2. This time around, Rockstar is in full control as the publisher and developer of Max Payne 3. The gameplay and graphics have been updated to meet today's gaming standards. Some features include DX11 with Tessellation for realistic graphics, and a cover system during game-play was added for a unique way of staying out of harms way. Features such as bullet-time are not left out to keep Max Payne 3 still feeling like the original. The comic-style storyboards have been scrapped for cinematic scenes that flow seamlessly into the live game-play, making the story and action the main focus.
