Yes, you read that correctly. I have an Apple Pencil. It has to be charged but also Bluetooth to my iPad. I lost it. Needed a replacement. It worked well! Found the Apple Pencil and tucked it away since I enjoyed the immediate wake-up of my replacement. Had the previous replacement for less than a year and one day it just stopped working. Someone recommended this one to me. It is a great replacement for my replacement. It is easy to grip. It charges up fast (give it an hour) and it works for SO LONG without needing a recharge. I love both a) quickness to wake-up (Just tap the round end to turn on/off) and b) very little time on charger and life between charges is awesome and c) it is super smooth on writing and scrolling and drag & dropping and anything in-between. Definitely recommended. *Comes with a USB-C cable to charge it with as well as an extra nib just in case.... something (can’t think of what) might happen to the one that is in the stylus.
