The Way to the Cross So Many Tears “41 But as he came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, he began to weep. 42 “How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes.” Luke 19:41-42 Along the palm branch and cloak covered road to Jerusalem amongst the shouts of the praise of the people, Jesus stopped and looked over Jerusalem. In that moment he saw what was coming for the city and was moved with emotion; weeping about what was coming for them because they did not recognize his arrival as the one who would bring peace. Let’s choose now to worship him with our lives and put him in the proper place in our hearts. He is the King of glory, the Good Shepherd, the Prince of Peace, the Lamb of God, and the Lion of Judah!
