Local Missionaries in Nepal at Time of Quake

ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Two missionaries from Woodfin Baptist Church were in Kathmandu when the earthquake hit. Jason and Charity Woons are there studying the culture and language and were in the church when the earthquake struck. The church wasn't damaged, but some of the houses around them collapsed. The Woons immediately started pulling people from the rubble. They have the only four wheel drive vehicle in the village and used it as an ambulance. "They were shaken," Pastor Randy Barton said. "The house they live in was not damage continue to have aftershocks and the government is predicting another large quake." Money is being raised to help the Woon family continue with their relief work.
