2006 2GHz Core Duo MacBook with SSD Drive

This is a video of before and after I changed the hard drive in my 2006 Core Duo 2.0GHz 2GB RAM MacBook. My MacBook had started to feel really quite sluggish with newer applications, especially when opening and multitasking, so I decided to put in a 128GB (Crucial M4) SSD, which has really sped things up. In this video I show booting Mac OS X 10.6 and opening a few applications with the different drives. I have had the SSD in my MacBook for around five months now. I had planned to buy a new MacBook Pro or Air, but with this new hard drive I no longer feel the need. It feels faster than it's ever been, and I'm happy that even after almost 6 years I still don't have to replace my faithful computer! If you have an older MacBook and feel like it's getting slow, then I couldn't recommend a SSD enough, especially now that the prices of the drives are getting lower and lower.
