NARRATIVE TENSES-My trek through the Himalayas (PAST simple, continuous, perfect, perfect cont.)

Narrative tenses- I am going to tell a short anecdote about my time in the Himalayan mountains. Narrative tenses are used to talk about the past, to describe past events and to tell stories or an anecdote. They are very important at intermediate and advanced levels. Narrative tenses are comprised of: The past simple- used to describe a series of events- Subject + past form of the verb. The past continuous- used to set the scene or show an action in progress in the past- Subject + was/were + verb-ing. The past perfect- used to talk about a completed action before the main past event- Subject + had+ the past participle.
