Unimpressed with the cheaply made, easily broken plastic “made in China” cases available from most sources, I wanted something sturdy and reliable. I was happy to find the North American (Canadian) company via Etsy that hit all my specs. Glitty makes beautiful cases from real, sustainably sourced wood. They measured their cases precisely to fit. You can instantly tell how much care they put into their products and reputation by how perfectly they wrapped the case inside the box, and the handwritten note they put inside with your name!! I was surprised how easily it snapped in place, but not surprised how beautiful it looks and how light it feels. I’ve had plastic cases that felt heavier, probably from all the lead in them from Chinese manufacturing plants. Clearly, Glitty may be a small business, but they're dedicated to really great products. I'm an instant fan. This ultra-slim and lightweight case maintains the slim and slick design of the MacBook’s natural curves but adds both protection and head-turning beauty. The hard shell frame has a dark speckled matte finish that firmly clasps to the top and bottom of your MacBook, but is also easily removable. The elevated rubber feet on the bottom case allow for airflow and heat dissipation. No two cases look exactly alike due to the fact that wood grain always differs.
