Is Illustration Art?

I've endured it long enough so now I feel it's my turn to give my stance on fine art vs illustration. This video is basically done to capture parts of my experience as best as I can describe it without going into too much personal detail. Wanting to be an illustrator I find it difficult to swallow when portions of the art world consider illustration, anime, graphic design, art between as low forms of art. I'm hoping to spark a conversation among many artists and art lovers and general, so please feel free to share this video and leave comments and feedback.
