Luck Of The Irish - Led Zeppelin Ireland 1971 Live Compilation
Led Zeppelin's UK 1971 Clubs tour is known for two things, featuring some of the drippiest outfits the boys ever rocked on stage, and having the worst tape representation known to man. Happily, the sole two Irish shows from the tour do happen to circulate so this era can still be enjoyed in some capacity. Unfortunately, both tapes had their fair share of issues, with the Belfast tape having the openings to around two thirds of the songs cut and the Dublin tape having large chunks of GTC, WIAWSNB, Cmon Everybody and RNR missing, plus both tapes run at different speeds. As such I elected to fuse them together to try and provide a more cohesive Led Zeppelin Ireland 1971 experience. I tried my best to patch these cuts with sound from the other show, meaning only a very slight patch of WIAWSNB not found on either source should be missing. I also eliminated Dublin’s Cmon Everybody because unfortunately it only comprises ten seconds of audio and it interfered with the video’s flow. Enjoy!
