Monitor Blinks, Flash or try to resize

Once i install any new drivers of my ATI HD 4870 1GB that's not from the CD (the cd drivers are 8months old) he always do this kind of thing and it annoys a lot. EDIT: Installed the stock drivers from CD (very old ones lol) and it stop doing this, soo it means i can't upgrade drivers.
