Maybe at Township Commons Film Photos with Nikon FM2 on Kodak Color SHORT
Welcome to this episode of Shutter Swoo: A Film Photography Journey. Today I have the honor and pleasure of using my professor’s Nikon FM2 with Kodak Gold, which is rated at ISO 200. Nikon produced the FM2 for 20 years from 1982 to 2001. Today I am shooting at the Township Commons public park at Oakland’s Brooklyn Basin. I came here filled with excitement, anticipation, and dread. Maybe I will be able to shoot without rain since it has been raining. Maybe the sun will break through the clouds and give me some light and colors. Maybe I will be able to use this borrowed Nikon FM2 to get sharp and good photos. Maybe I will be able to catch a skater because most people are likely staying home to stay warm and dry. Maybe I will be brave enough to ask permission to take video and photos of a skater. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe… “Maybe” was kind and gracious and allowed to to shoot some photos and film some clips. Ha ha ha. Maybe is not may be her name. Maybe’s name is Maybe! Thank you for watching.
