BOSS ME-30 GUITAR MULTIPLE EFFECTS UNIT ---NO TALK-SOUND ONLY DEMO
I bought this effects unit at a local guitar center in the late 1990's. It was a demo model-open box and didn't come with an instruction manual. I didn't use it properly and as a result I was unimpressed. I ran it mono into a dirty amp. Years later I thought I would take another lok at the unit. I used it with a Rhodes piano and found very interesting tones. In this clip I cycle through the presets. The guitar is an Ibanez RG series with two humbuckers. The effects unit is run stereo into a Focusrite 18i20 and stereo in protools. After tracking I bounced the mix with nothing added. The ME-30 is capable of really interesting tones. Some of the negative comments about the device might be caused by using it with the wrong amplifier, or perhaps from an expectation level that can't be met at that price point. It's a great pedal for practice and home use while jamming alone to tracks on youtube.
