Minecraft Construction & Adventure: Episode 10 - Mob Grinder Tutorial
Hello everyone, Rillan here to bring you another episode of Construction & Adventure. So over the past week I've been building mob grinders in my superflat world, and after building a few of my own, I decided to build the one Etho is using on the mindcrack server to see how it would preform. While it gets the job done nicely it has the problem that it can't be built too far into the air on a normal world before hitting the 240 block hight limit on mob spawning. So I decided to take the base design and add 20 more spawn pads per layer giving a total spawn area of 308. It took some time to make sure the water still flowed into a central area but I finally nailed it. Anyway in this video I show off the old mob grinders that I designed, show off something I found about exp faming, and give a probably overly long explanation on my modified mob spawner. Needs snapshot to work. http://www.mediafire.com/?ptwzm11vh779qf9 Coordinates for the spawner around X -1669, Z 316 Etho's Mob Grinder Deisgn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YpvMzpD1lM#t=1007s As always thanks for watching, any comments or suggestions are appreciated, and consider subscribing here or following me on twitter as it tells me people are interested in seeing more.
