Final Fantasy XI #098, Zilart: Headstone Pilgrimage (1/2): Water, Ice, Fire Fragments

He went through the Temple of Uggalepih and the Den of Rancor to the Sacrificial Chamber, where he fought Grav'iton, Tungs'iton, and Molyb'iton. After the battle, Grav'iton provided some Zilart history. Heorot also earned the Dark Fragment. Now, for Zilart Mission 5: "Headstone Pilgrimage", Heorot will begin searching out the seven other fragments that he will have to take to Zepwell Island. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He heads out to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 0:47): Heorot sets Home Point #1 as his current home point. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 1:34): Heorot visits Karine, the map vendor, at H-9. He picks up the Map of Ordelle's Caves, the Map of the Li'Telor Region, and the Map of the Quicksand Caves. Ordelle's Caves runs under La Theine Plateau. The Map of the Li'Telor Region covers the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah, Ro'Maeve, and the Hall of the Gods. The Quicksand Caves run under the Altepa Desert on Zepwell Island. Heorot teleports back to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 4:45): Heorot will begin by seeking the Cermet Headstone on La Theine Plateau. He teleports to La Theine Plateau, Zulkheim. La Theine Plateau (time 5:58): Heorot starts at the Survival Guide at M-8. At K-8, he talks to Coumaine and rents a Chocobo to speed his way west. In the valley west of the Ephemere, he finds a path at F-6 that leads down into the chasm. At F-7, Heorot finds the main entrance to Ordelle's Caves. Ordelle's Caves (time 10:49): Heorot starts at H-2/G-2 on what the FFXIclopedia page calls the second map. Who am I to argue? Just inside, Heorot finds the dungeon's Survival Guide at G-3. That's helpful. Heorot takes the slope at I-5 down to I-6 in the middle section of the first map. Then, he takes the slope at H-9 up to the southern section of the second map. This area is home to a type of hare called the Buds Bunny! That pun is almost worthy of Dragon Quest. In the southeast, Heorot drops down the hole at H-11/H-12 to the southeast room of the first map. From there, he goes up the eastern ramp at I-11 to the third map. At I-6, he begins making his way south. At H-9, he turns southwest. At G-10, Heorot exits to La Theine Plateau. La Theine Plateau (time 21:26): Heorot arrives at H-10 at the northeast end of the southern chasm. In a cave at G-11, Heorot finds the Cermet Headstone. He chooses to remove the Water Fragment. He has to be right in front of the headstone to take the fragment. This is fragment number two out of eight. At H-10, Heorot reenters Ordelle's Caves. Ordelle's Caves (time 25:03): Heorot starts at G-10 in the southwest of the third map. After taking out a Wind Elemental, he makes his way north. At H-5, he takes the ramp down to G-8 in the central section of the second map. Continuing north, he ascends the ramp at G-6/H-6 to H-6 in the northern section of the first map. At the nexus at I-5, he takes the northwest path. At G-4, he takes the ramp up to G-4 in the northern section of the second map. This lets him go back towards the entrance. Heorot uses the Survival Guide at G-3 to return to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 32:58): Heorot uses a Home Point to teleport to Home Point #1 in Fei'Yin, Fauregandi. Fei'Yin (time 34:06): Heorot starts at Home Point #1 at K-8 in the east of the first map. Even with at Level 81, the Wekufe rank as incredibly tough. At H-9, Heorot goes downstairs to G-9 in the south of the second map. At I-5 in the northeast, Heorot finds Home Point #2. He examines it to activate it as a teleport point. At I-5, Heorot heads north to the Cloister of Frost. Cloister of Frost (time 41:19): Behind the Ice Protocrystal, Heorot finds the Cermet Headstone. He examines it and takes the Ice Fragment. Excellent. That is three out of eight. Heorot returns to Fei'Yin. Fei'Yin (time 43:21): Heorot uses Home Point #2 to teleport to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 43:42): The next Cermet Headstone is in Yuhtunga Jungle. However, reaching it requires circuitous a trip going from Yhoator Jungle through Ifrit's Cauldron. So, Heorot uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to Yhoator Jungle, Elshimo Uplands. Yhoator Jungle (time 44:30): Along the way to the main entrance to Ifrit's Cauldron, Heorot finds a banner at H-6. Sadly, the beastmen are in control of the Elshimo Uplands right now.
