Sermon: "In Just Five Days It Happened." Palm Sunday Sermon. Mark 11:1-11. Rev. Jorge Ochoa.
We are starting Holy Week, today is Palm Sunday. It was a great day of excitement. As Jesus rode into the Holy City, the crowds waving palms started to shouting: "Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!" We know that in the multitude were the admirers of Jesus with superficial faith, those who did not scruple to change convictions for conveniences. The truth is that several of these people just in five days would be disappointed and discouraged with Jesus. A lot of the same people that on "Palm Sunday" were cheering Jesus, in just five days more, on "Holy Friday/Good Friday" will be shouting "Crucify Him, Crucify Him!" (Luke 23:21b). How deplorable is human nature when it is far from the redemption of God. How fickle is human nature. But what about us? Sermon preached on Palm Sunday, March 28th, 2021 by Rev. Jorge Ochoa. La Farge UMC, Faith UMC, and Dell UMC. Psalm 118:1-2, 19-29: Mark 11:1-11.
