For more info go here: http://euroncap.com/tests/suzuki_grand_vitara_2007/287.aspx Front impact There was insufficient pressure in the driver's airbag to prevent the dummy's head from 'bottoming-out' the airbag onto the steering wheel. There was some detachment of spot welds in the driver's footwell area and considerable deformation which posed a risk to the driver's lower legs and ankles. Structures in the dashboard presented a risk of injury to the knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. Side impact The Grand Vitara scored maximum points in the side impact and pole tests. Child occupant The front passenger airbag cannot be disabled so a rearward-facing child restraint should not be used in that seating position. The labels warning of the dangers of doing so were clear but were not available in the languages of all European countries. The presence of ISOFIX and top-tether anchorages in the rear outboard seats was not clearly marked. Pedestrian The bumper scored maximum points for the protection it offered to pedestrians' legs. However, the leading edge of the bonnet scored no points.
