Total War Rome 2 - Micromanagement Tip: Group formation attack
There's a control mechanic that has been in the game since at least RTW, yet very few people know about: the group formation attack order. CORRECTIONS: - The yellow line move thingy is not new to Rome 2. It was in Shogun 2 as well, but there was no red targeting line. - in old Total Wars like Rome 1, group attack would make units attack whatever was closest. In Rome 2, group attack makes the formation attack as a whole in the direction you chose. For another example of this mechanic in action, check out the following video around 3:30 where I send in my swords group as a line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwhDPMitBgA
