Warhammer 3: How-To Economy 50k Challenge Part 10 (Last Defenders, VH/VH, Immortal Empires)
I made a long post about the state of Dark Elves here: https://www.reddit.com/r/totalwar/comments/10eue81/i_beat_dark_elf_legendary_campaigns_in_both_22/ In it I mentioned making 380k gold a turn as Tyrion for a Domination Victory and there was a response saying: "I just want to know how it's possible to have 50K+ income per turn let alone 380K. Like every campaign I'm running around with 1 or 2 armies wishing I could have more lords and heroes to build up." This video series (and maybe it'll become a pattern) aims to demonstrate how to build economy on factions designed to build economy (so a faction like Skarbrand/Exiles of Khorne would not count). I was requested to use Last Defenders specifically on VH/VH so here it is. Spoiler alert: I achieve 50k total income on turn 74 (which is roughly 3k base/background income, 9k trade income, and 38k building income). I'll take other requests on this topic or others for any difficulty normal or above. The three main factors to balance are: 1, income 2, unit recruitment needs 3, hero recruitment/capacity You always want to build industry buildings in every settlement unless you need to prioritize recruitment buildings or hero buildings...which should be very rare (generally you can get away with 10% or less of your provinces being set up for optimized recruitment). The other 2+ slots can be filled with resource buildings, income multipliers, walls if needed, hero buildings (like the Skink building chain for Skink Chiefs), etc. Exceptions when an industry building would be a lower priority could include a border province that you're trying to get walls/growth for ASAP, the need for hero building to recruit heroes near a warfront, or having problems with control or corruption that need to be addressed first. As always, feedback is appreciated.
