Neutral Safety Switch or Transmission range sensor Replacement 2003-2011 Lincoln town car
This procedure should work for all panther platform vehicles. I only changed it due to a P0708 code. The presence of a P0708 diagnostic trouble code means that the transmission range sensor / neutral safety switch is sending the wrong signals back to the ECM. This sensor is designed to prevent the engine from starting unless the transmission is in Neutral or Park. There are other symptoms related to this sensor that you may be experiencing.
