Welcome to Physics Coffee Talk Series 2.0: Introduction To Quantum Gravity by Dr. Wan Mohamad Husni Wan Mokhtar. Brief Introduction: This talk will explore the basic concept of Quantum Gravity (QG), which includes what QG is about; the motivations; approaches; and consequences. Broadly speaking, research in Quantum Gravity (QG) could perhaps be defined as any attempt to construct a theoretical scheme in which ideas from general relativity and quantum theory appear together in some way. More specifically, research in QG refers to any attempt that seeks to describe gravitational interactions quantum mechanically. The objective is to identify the quantum properties and the quantum dynamics of the gravitational field, or to identify the quantum substrate from which gravity results.
